People use their home screens every day. Samsung software changes, layouts evolve, and the apps people rely on change too. A theme that felt complete in 2022 can still deserve thoughtful attention in 2027.
This is why MunTheme continues to revisit older designs instead of treating release day as the finish line.
The original 2022 design
The 2022 version established the personality of this theme. It used a warm paper texture, hand-drawn leaves, soft red details, and custom icons that belonged to the same illustrated world.
The large year artwork gave the home screen a clear focal point. A compact group of themed apps completed the layout without making the screen feel crowded.
That original character was worth keeping. The goal of the update was not to replace it with something trendier. The goal was to help it work better on a current Galaxy screen.
What changed for 2027
The 2027 version keeps the colors, botanical artwork, and hand-drawn feeling of the original. The most visible changes are practical:
- More apps now have matching themed icons.
- The home-screen layout uses the available space more effectively.
- The year artwork has a stronger presence.
- The expanded icon set makes the whole screen feel more consistent.
These changes may look small individually, but phone themes are built from small details. When icons, labels, colors, and spacing work together, the screen feels intentional.
Updating without losing the original feeling
Refreshing an older theme is a balancing act. Change too little and the design can feel unfinished on a newer interface. Change too much and the personality people liked can disappear.
For this update, the illustrated leaves and warm paper texture remain the visual foundation. The new work supports that foundation instead of competing with it.
The result still feels like the 2022 theme, only more complete for 2027.
Why long-term care matters
A Samsung theme is not just a wallpaper. It includes a system of icons, colors, interface details, and screen layouts that people see throughout the day.
That system deserves care after launch. Revisiting an older theme gives us the chance to improve consistency, support more of the everyday experience, and keep a familiar design useful.
